VISION

I am a Colorado native who has lived in Douglas County for 40 years. Kathy and I have raised our kids in Douglas County and they both attended Douglas County Schools. Both of our children are giving back in their careers as a school teacher and police officer.

I spent 42 years in public safety at the County, State, and City levels. I know the importance of cooperation and partnership at all levels of government. The last 8 years of my career was as a Bureau Chief with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. I have seen the best in all levels of government during some of the most horrific events in my career including four school shootings and countless criminal acts. I also have had numerous opportunities to participate in events like promulgating rules and laws at the State level and giving testimony for Bills and Legislation. I understand the importance of governance and the process it should take and not take.

I have a master’s degree in public safety and am a graduate of the FBI Nation Academy and Senior Management Institute for Police. I have also attended the Leadership Douglas County course.

I am fully prepared to ask the tough questions and make the right decisions for the benefit of every resident of Douglas County.
